    Concentrated solar power
Concentrated solar power (CSP, also known as concentrating solar power, concentrated solar thermal) systems generate solar power by using mirrors or lenses to concentrate a large area of sunlight into a receiver. Electricity is generated when the concentrated light is converted to heat (solar thermal energy), which drives a heat engine (usually a steam turbine) connected to an electrical power generator or powers a thermochemical reaction. As of 2021, global installed capacity of concentrated solar power stood at 6.8 GW. The US National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) maintains a full database of the current state of all CSP plants globally, whether under construction, shut down, or operating. The data includes comprehensive details such as capacity, type of power block components, number of thermal energy storage hours, and turbine sizes. Comparison between CSP and other electricity sources As a thermal energy generating power station, CSP has more in common with thermal power stations such as coal, gas, or geothermal. A CSP...

    Keel-billed toucan
The keel-billed toucan (Ramphastos sulfuratus), also known as sulfur-breasted toucan, keel toucan, or rainbow-billed toucan, is a colorful Latin American member of the toucan family. It is the national bird of Belize. The species is found in tropical jungles from southern Mexico to Colombia. It is an omnivorous forest bird that feeds on fruits, seeds, insects, invertebrates, lizards, snakes, and small birds and their eggs. Taxonomy and systematics Subspecies Two subspecies are recognized: Ramphastos sulfuratus sulfuratus – Lesson, 1830: Found in south-eastern Mexico, Belize and northern Guatemala Ramphastos sulfuratus brevicarinatus – Gould, 1854: Originally described as a separate species. Found in south-eastern Guatemala to northern Colombia and north-western VenezuelaDescription Including its bill, the keel-billed toucan ranges in length from around 42 to 55 cm (17 to 22 in). Their large and colorful...

    Shiitake
The shiitake (alternate form shitake) (; Japanese: [ɕiꜜːtake] (listen) Lentinula edodes) is an edible mushroom native to East Asia, which is cultivated and consumed around the globe. It is considered a medicinal mushroom in some forms of traditional medicine. Taxonomy The fungus was first described scientifically as Agaricus edodes by Miles Joseph Berkeley in 1877. It was placed in the genus Lentinula by David Pegler in 1976. The fungus has acquired an extensive synonymy in its taxonomic history: Agaricus edodes Berk. (1878) Armillaria edodes (Berk.) Sacc. (1887) Mastoleucomychelloes edodes (Berk.) Kuntze (1891) Cortinellus edodes (Berk.) S.Ito & S.Imai (1938) Lentinus edodes (Berk.) Singer...
